A fiber arts installation in the Shaw Neighborhood.
New Community ArtSpace and the Shaw/Watha T. Daniels Neighborhood Library are joining fiber forces again to present a community fiber art installation as part of What's Going On: Voices of Shaw exhibit. Fiber artists from the Shaw neighborhood will crochet a very long Common Thread in the comforts of their home, work, play and creative spaces.
This event is open to all ages. Enter to win your very own tapestry loom.
Saturday, September 24th 7-9pm @ Shaw Library As part of Arts All Night we will be offering painting and fiber arts projects. Come make something and help us crochet.
Tuesday, September 27th 6-8pm @ ArtSpace Drop in, bring a fiber project you are working on, and help us crochet our Common Thread.
Saturday, October 1st @ 5pm from ArtSpace - Register and help us unravel the thread in various directions throughout the neighborhood and end up at Shaw Tavern for the closing event.
