Monoprint Workshop

Try your hand at making a one-of-a-kind print. This in-depth, hands on workshop, joins the radiant qualities of prints with spontaneity of painting called Monotype.  Participants will roll ink on a piece of plexiglass.  Using various tools to work in the ink an image will be created.  Then participants will incorporate printing things such as dried grasses, mesh, etc.  Open to all levels.   Mary D. Ott is an artist working in acrylic, mixed-media drawing and painting, and printmaking. She has been a member of the Touchstone Gallery, an artist-owned contemporary art gallery in Washington DC since 2001. http://www.touchstonegallery.com/mary-d-ott/ 

These workshops are in partnership with members of the Touchstone Gallery.  Please specify which workshop you are interested in.  Each workshop is $10.  Student work will be considered for the Touchstone Gallery exhibit in June 2016.  Open to all levels
